When God Makes You Wait ✋️
Wait ✋️
Joseph waited 13 years.
Abraham waited 25 years.
Moses waited 40 years.
Jesus waited 30 years.
Each of them had a promise from God, yet they didn’t step into it immediately. Their waiting season was not wasted—it was preparation. Joseph’s character was shaped in prisons and pits before the palace. Abraham’s faith was stretched until the promised son came. Moses was refined in the wilderness before leading Israel. Even Jesus Himself waited until God’s appointed time to step into public ministry.
Waiting is one of the hardest seasons we face, because it feels like nothing is happening. But in God’s hands, waiting is never empty—it is a process of growth, pruning, and preparation for the promise. If God is making you wait, you are in good company.
Scripture
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
— Isaiah 40:31
A Prayer in the Waiting
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me that waiting is not wasted. Just as Joseph, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus had to wait for Your perfect timing, help me to trust that You are also preparing me for what is ahead. Strengthen my heart, calm my impatience, and give me faith to believe that every delay is part of Your divine plan. May I wait with hope, joy, and unshakable trust in Your promises.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
